LAB Hosts Colorado Creative Industries Convening Featuring Richard Florida
The Creativity Lab of Colorado hosts 2021 convening (March 17, 18, 24 and 25) of Colorado’s 26 certified creative districts for Colorado Creative Industries (CCI). This convening featured Richard Florida, economic, social theorist and author of the seminal best-seller “The Rise of the Creative Class” and many other books and articles, whose theories recognize the growing economic and sociological impact of creativity. He is best known for his concept of the “creative class” and its ramifications for regeneration.
CCI is funded by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and believes in the power of creativity to inspire human connections, create social change, and support economic vibrancy throughout Colorado. We focus on strengthening the vitality of visual, performing, and literary arts through promotion, resources, and funding opportunities.
